Who We Are
As part of the Wake Forest Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI), MACHE houses the Integrating Special Populations program, conducts independent research, and facilitates community-based programming to advance health equity.
What We Do
The Maya Angelou Center for Health Equity works with community-based organizations to educate the public about health, health equity, and research. We primarily focus on engagement with African American, Latinx and American Indian communities about Alzheimer's Disease and related dementias, brain health, HIV/AIDS, COVID-19, diabetes and heart disease.
