Who We Are

Outdoor Life Leadership is a youth development organization dedicated to empowering young men ages 7-17 from underserved communities. Founded in 2023, we focus on fostering skills that prepare these young men for self-sufficient futures through outdoor experiences. We also provide leadership opportunities for young adult men ages 18-24. Our mission is to empower young men through survival training, public safety education, disaster preparedness, leadership, and economic mobility. We envision a world where every young person has access to opportunities that build confidence, resilience, and pathways to self-sufficient futures in outdoor and emergency service careers.

What We Do

Outdoor Life Leadership provides structured programs and hands-on experiences focused on: Disaster Preparedness and Survival Skills Young men learn practical skills like fire-starting, shelter-building, purifying water, and creating renewable energy systems. We integrate STEM, STEAM, and sustainable farming practices to teach young men how to grow food using hydroponics and ensure survival in emergencies. Leadership Development Our programs build confidence, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. Through mentorship, young adult men guide and support young men in developing leadership qualities. Economic Mobility We introduce young men to career pathways in outdoor industries, emergency services, and conservation. Programs emphasize self-sufficiency by equipping them with skills for entrepreneurship and vocational growth. Community and Family Engagement We host events like the Outdoor Life Expo and Nature's Family Camping Retreat, fostering family participation while showcasing young men’s skills. Our Programs Bear Archers Designed for young men aged 7-17, this program provides outdoor experiences that teach survival, public safety, and disaster readiness while building leadership and teamwork skills. Bear Captains A leadership and volunteerism program for young adult men aged 18-24. Participants mentor and guide younger peers while enhancing their own leadership and community service experience.
