We are Hudson and Kaelin Hatfield, co-founders of Christ in Crisis, a nonprofit launched in November 2023 to bring both immediate help and eternal hope found in Jesus to people in need. Kaelin is a lifelong advocate for missions and education, with a Master’s degree in Higher Education focused on school development. Hudson, a former atheist turned believer, shares a deep passion for reaching the hurting with the gospel.
Our mission was born out of firsthand experiences in some of the world’s hardest-hit regions — witnessing the suffering of children in slums, conflict zones, and disaster areas. Inspired by God’s call and driven by compassion, we now go where crisis meets opportunity — always offering practical aid and the transformative message of Jesus Christ.
What We Do
Christ in Crisis exists to bring both immediate aid and eternal hope found in Jesus to people in the world’s most desperate places. We respond to crisis zones globally — including Ukraine, the Middle East, and disaster-affected regions like Israel, Maui, and Western NC — by providing relief supplies, support for persecuted believers, Bible camps, and outreach to under-resourced communities.
Our current flagship initiative is a Walk & Bike Fundraiser to raise $80,000 to build a Christian school and plant a church near the Deonar Dumping Ground in Mumbai, India — home to thousands of children who live and work in the trashyards with no access to education. In partnership with local pastors and missionaries, we aim to provide these children with meals, learning, and the life-changing hope of Jesus.
