Who We Are

The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian Church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.

What We Do

At the Salvation Army food pantry, we provide approximately 100 food boxes between Trade Street in Winston Salem and Kernersville.

You must be over the age of 18 to be in either location to volunteer. Volunteers with the ability to lift heavy boxes and be on their feet for long periods are a huge help. You can keep the shelves stocked by assembling boxes of food for distribution, sorting, and packing.
