Pivot is seeking a volunteer Mentor Coordinator to:

Provide support for and facilitate communication with our mentorsHelp recruit mentorsSchedule mentor training sessions twice a yearFacilitate monthly mentor meetings March-June and September-DecemberServe as a liaison between staff and mentors

A successful Mentor Coordinator will be passionate about encouraging women and will uphold the values of our organization while supporting mentors in their positions. 

A Pivot Mentor Coordinator has:

VOLUNTEERS:  Help Guide How Pivot Operates

Brief Overview of Committees

 

Finance                       

Review & ask questions about Pivot’s money, spending, & budget.  Meets about 45 minutes each month by  Zoom.  Currently 6 members with 1 opening.

 

Fundraising               

Help Pivot raise money and manage donor relationships.  Some plan events.  Others work on words for letters, emails and grants.  Help identify churches, businesses, grant-makers and others who might want to support Pivot’s work by partnering, referring women, and/or donating money or goods.  Help spread the word about Pivot so more people know about us.  Meets 1½ hours each month by Zoom.  Currently 10 members with 1 opening.

 

Governance             

Be sure Pivot is following all the rules.  Identify new board members and help teach them about Pivot.  Meets up to 1 hour each month by  Zoom.  Currently 5 members with 1 opening.

 

Human Resources    

Help hire staff; review and update Policy handbooks for staff, volunteers, and participants. Make sure we honor and improve our diversity, equity, and inclusion.  Give input and ensure we do performance reviews with staff.  Meets monthly by Zoom, based on need.  Currently 6 members, with 1 opening.

OUTREACH AMBASSADOR

Brief Overview

 

A successful Outreach Ambassador will be passionate about volunteer work and uphold the values of Pivot Ministry while helping new volunteers connect to match serving with their passions in their positions.

We’ll keep it manageable. Flexible to adapt and easily work/trade off tasks Strong interpersonal & communication skills – verbally and written Skills in MS Office

 

Outreach Ambassador

This volunteer partners with Pivot’s staff to recruit and match volunteers with the right opportunities that fit their skills, gifts, talents and available time, ensuring the comfort of our volunteers in their positions.
