The Foster Care Youth Initiative Coordinator (FCYI Coordinator) is responsible for managing and implementing a comprehensive program to increase the number of Forsyth County foster care youth in grades 6-12 who enroll and graduate from a 4-year and/or a 2-year college. The FCYI Coordinator will develop and implement a high-touch Crosby Scholars model that supports students as early as sixth grade through high school graduation and attainment of a post-secondary credential.
A bachelor's degree is required, as well as understanding and knowledge of the foster care system as either a former participant or through previous work in foster care. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to develop cooperative relationships in the schools as well as in the community. Must be able to work effectively with a diverse population in a team effort to support the mission of Crosby Scholars.
This is a 12-month, full-time position at 37.5 hours per week. Requires occasional travel and limited weekend and evening work.
