Volunteers will assemble furniture for a foster family located in Thomasville, NC. This is a unique project for Home Sweet Hope, as this is the first time we are doing a room makeover for the foster parents. These parents have 5 young foster children in their care, with the youngest baby sleeping in the parents room. This family "won" this service at a foster parent retreat in Emerald Isle. Good foster parents often give so much of themselves in order to create a safe environment for the child in care to heal and thrive with their needs being put last. We will be using our skills and mission to give these parents a retreat that is not only calming and beautiful, but functional as well. furniture may consist of night stands, dresser, headboard, and other accessory items. They will be constructed in garage area of Sechrest Davis Funeral Home in Thomasville, NC
Home Sweet Hope's mission is providing custom room makeovers for youth experiencing foster care or adoption so they can continue to grow in thrive in space that promotes well-being and feels like "home".
