A BioBlitz is an opportunity to take a snapshot of the biodiversity, or variety of life, in a specific place. In a BioBlitz event, students, scientists, naturalists, and other community members join together to find and identify as many plants, animals, and other organisms as possible in a short period of time. Participants will create a journal of local natural life. Shep will encourage natural journaling alongside the logistical task of counting species. He will teach you skills to identify your surroundings and get a closer at the world around you.
