Mentors and Tutors Needed: Are you a math whiz? Great at writing? A homework expert? In addition, Education Major looking for real-world experience. When you volunteer to tutor the Boys & Girls Clubs members, you help them prepare for a Great Future as an adult. We are looking for volunteers with a passion for education and compassion for children. Tutors and mentors are needed to help members with homework, reach grade-level reading, improve computer skills and test scores, and be prepared for the next grade and higher education. All volunteers must be over the age of 18.
Volunteer Opportunity:
Title: Mentoring and Tutoring (All volunteers must be at least 18 yrs. old)
When: Monday – Friday 2:30 PM - 7:00 PM School Hours
Summer Hours - Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM
All volunteers working with or around children must complete an application with a background check, an interview, and Safe from Harm training. If you would like to move forward, please contact me directly. Please let me know if you would like to proceed. A tour of any of the facilities can be arranged at any time.
Qualifications: Education, Physical Education, Recreation, or Early Childhood Development majors are preferred. Likes and relates to children and their needs. Has compassion is friendly and understanding. He is a courteous team player and can follow instructions. Can work with other volunteers and supervise other Volunteers under their leadership.
Our volunteers are essential to us, and we ask for your help to create a safe and meaningful volunteer experience. With that, all volunteers must review and acknowledge receipt of our organization’s policies and processes.
