Who We Are

Our mission is to provide expectant parents-to-be with the support, resources, and care necessary to successfully navigate the pregnancy journey and ensure a smooth and healthy transition into parenthood.

What We Do

1. Essentials Baby Pantry: Provides diapers, formula, baby clothing, and hygiene items to expectant parents and families with infants through on-site and mobile distribution. Reduces diaper need and supports healthy infant development while connecting families to additional support services.

2. Mobile Outreach Unit: A developing expansion initiative that will bring Añuli’s services—including the baby pantry, prenatal education, and family wellness screenings—directly into underserved neighborhoods across Forsyth and surrounding counties. The mobile unit increases accessibility for families without reliable transportation and helps address maternal health disparities.

Goals: Improve access to maternal and infant care resources, extend geographic reach, and strengthen partnerships with rural and urban service providers.

3.Family Connections & Wellness & Program: Provides ongoing classes and workshops focused on pregnancy health, parenting, nutrition, and infant safety. Sessions are offered in collaboration with healthcare professionals and community educators. Families receive evidence-based education to support positive parenting and child development.

Goals: Increase health literacy, promote safe infant care practices, and encourage proactive family wellness behaviors.

4. Community Pop-Up Events: Quarterly community-based events designed to provide essential baby items and resources in high-need areas. Events also serve as outreach and awareness opportunities in partnership with hospitals, pediatric clinics, and local agencies.

Goals: Strengthen community visibility, connect families to ongoing support, and promote equitable access to baby care resources.

5. Cocoa’s Fund (C.O.C.O.A. – Creating Opportunities, Community & Action): A community donation fund supporting emergency needs for mothers and infants. Donations provide targeted assistance such as specialty formula & diapers, car seats, transportation vouchers, and childcare support. The fund also assists with operational costs for outreach and volunteer support.

Goals: Provide rapid-response aid to families facing crisis, foster community giving, and sustain Añuli’s essential services.

6. Maternal & Infant Environmental Health Pilot Program: A developing program designed to assess and address environmental health factors affecting maternal and infant well-being, including air quality, housing conditions, and access to clean resources. Partners with local health departments to increase awareness and provide resources that promote safe and healthy environments for families.

Goals: Reduce environmental health risks, improve awareness, and advocate for policy change in maternal-child wellness.
