Who We Are
We are a trusted community organization that works to lessen the number of students affected by educational inequities in the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County area. We provide one-on-one academic assistance at no cost to those students in need of extra resources and support to ensure they have a fair and equal chance to succeed. We match students ranging from kindergarten through high school with one of our team members for individualized homework help, skill enrichment, or goal setting.
We require that all team members complete training provided through ViP and Wake Forest University's Office of Civic and Community Engagement. Our ViP tutors are a select team of mature, teacher-recommended, and trained high school students enrolled in advanced or college-level curriculum. All of our tutors are local so that they provide instruction as your students are being taught. They have attended many of the same schools and can often provide in-person sessions near you. Our team members are eager to help their student matches become more confident in their abilities over time.
What We Do
We assist Forsyth County, NC students in K-12th grade in all core subjects and some foreign language electives. We are also here to help show parents and students around the websites and online platforms used by most schools in Forsyth County. We offer free one-on-one in-person or virtual sessions led by our trained high school tutors.
