A Simple Gesture

We’re a community-powered nonprofit that believes solving hunger doesn’t have to be complicated. Founded on the idea that small actions make a big difference, we bring together donors, volunteers, and local partners to create a consistent flow of food to families in need. With more than 60 chapters across the country, we’ve provided over 7 million meals—and we’re just getting started.

A Simple Gesture makes it easy for people to help feed their neighbors. Volunteers collect nonperishable food from donors’ doorsteps and deliver it to local food pantries, schools, and nonprofits. We also recover surplus food from grocery stores and school cafeterias to prevent waste and ensure every meal counts. Our goal is simple: to create a sustainable, reliable food supply for those who need it most.
