In the summer of 2016, a group of pastors gathered together to explore how the Christian church could acknowledge historic racism and injustice while working toward reconciliation. The OneRace Movement was born, not out of a desire to ignore race and be colorblind but with the goal of leaning into our common humanity in how we are all image-bearers. OneRace’s mission is “teaching leaders to love across, color, class, and culture.” Under its four pillars—prayer, relationship, equipping, and mercy/justice—OneRace leads events, workshops, and pilgrimages to help others see the beauty of unity in diversity.
