The premise of the book is that most white American Christians are actually committed to a religion of whiteness rather than Christianity. This is evidenced by national survey data, in-depth interviews, and focus groups, showing the spread and increasing danger of Christians knowingly and unknowingly worshiping whiteness rather than Jesus.
