Poverty Simulation

If you had to choose among food, shelter, utilities or medication, what would you pick?

Join Love Out Loud, Crisis Control Ministry, Inc., and Goodwill Industries of Northwest NC for a two-hour dynamic program including four 15-minute “weeks” where you assume the role of a member in a low-income family.

This simulation provides a way for those of us who may have never lived in poverty to "experience" the stresses of everyday life. From check cashing to transportation - participants' eyes are open to hurdles in society some have never thought of and invited into a new perspective.

We are limited to 80 participants. We ask that participants are high school aged or older. There is a $10 suggested, but not required donation.
