A few great role players for our 48th “Crisis Intervention Team” (CIT) training in Forsyth County during the afternoon of Thursday, August 15 from 1:00 pm – 4:30 pm at the University Corporate Center, 1100 Reynolds Boulevard, Winston-Salem in Room B1110.
The Role Plays are a vital, critical component of CIT as they help implement and “piece together” what our trainees have learned during the week in terms of how to safely and humanely deescalate a person in a mental health crisis and get help for that individual . . . as opposed to jail. Many of your who are receiving my request have served in the past in CIT in Forsyth County in one way or another and I hope that your schedule may allow you to help out this year as we celebrate our 47th Training in Forsyth County!
We hope that you can make it and we hope you can join us. If you cannot volunteer as a role player on Thursday, August 15, but know someone within your network who could possibly help out . . . please forward this information and have her or him get in touch with me.
Check your calendars and let me know if you can serve/volunteer your time for this important aspect of the CIT training.
