Faith in the City is resuming its community informational sessions for the 2021-22 year at Knollwood Baptist Church on Tuesday, Sept. 7. We hope you can join us from 12-1 p.m. to hear Kris Nordstrom, senior policy analyst with the NC Justice Center, talk about recent developments in the Leandro court case.
Despite the decades-old Leandro case seeking equitable school funding across the state, very little progress has been made in addressing issues raised, and a recent court ruling is seeking to change that, in what is being called a "generational opportunity for NC students." See the attached flyer for more information.
Please note: Our sessions are resuming in-person in the Fellowship Hall (Building B) at Knollwood, 330 Knollwood St. Please enter through the end door of Building B closest to the large parking lot. Masks are required, and social distancing guidelines will be followed.
The session will also be live-streamed through the Faith in the City KBC Facebook group. For more information on how to join that group, contact us at faithinthecitykbc@gmail.com or ask to join the group on Facebook at Faith in the City KBC.
Please share this information with others who might be interested in joining us for this important discussion.
We hope to see you on Sept. 7, and start this year with a strong showing of interest in educational equity issues.
