In this session, Jobana Semones from Piedmont Advantage Credit Union will cover the importance of financial independence for women. When a woman is financially independent, she has security and protection from unexpected events and the ability to sustain herself during emergencies. Financial independence also plays a key role in helping women leave a toxic relationships with spouses or partners. Jobana is committed to sharing best practices to start a healthy financial journey and empower women to take control over their financial health and security.

 

Speaker Bio: Jobana Semones is a Certified Credit Union Financial Counselor and Community Development Executive over the youth program at Piedmont Advantage Credit Union. While Jobana is the primary facilitator for Money Y-Zer, the PACU Youth Program’s learning series where children and teens learn the ins and outs of personal finance, she also leads sessions for adults that interested in learning as well. She is passionate about empowering individuals to take control over their financial journey and she believes it is never too late to start yours.
