One of our greatest needs are Spanish-speaking interpreters to register clients with the food pantry. We serve several hundred Hispanic families each month with food and each family needs to register when they arrive.
Clients will present their food bank cards and the volunteer will use either a tablet or phone to record the visit with the food bank. Clients that do not have food bank card will need to provide their information to receive a food bank card on their first visit.
We will provide a training prior to any food pantry distribution to help understand the process. As a new volunteer in this capacity, you will most likely start off by registering only 10 clients as you learn the system.
