Join the Red Cross on Saturday, March 15th in Greensboro, NC, and help save lives in your community!
Sound the Alarm is one of the most exciting ways we bring the Red Cross mission to life AND help save lives in our community.
During these events, volunteers, fire departments, and partners canvas designated neighborhoods - meeting with residents to install working smoke alarms and share home fire safety information.
The impact that Sound the Alarm has made is tremendous. Since the start of the Home Fire Campaign, we have documented over 2,200 lives saved and made more than 1 million homes safer across the country.
Volunteer roles include smoke alarm installers (who install and test the smoke alarms), educators (who share home fire safety information), and documenters (who track and record team activity). No previous experience is necessary as volunteers are trained on the morning of the event.
Lunch is provided.
