Join Greensboro Beautiful on Thursday, November 3rd at 10am to volunteer to make Christmas light balls for the annual Holiday Greenery Festival. We will set up workspace in the Visitors Center building at Gateway Gardens (2924 E. Gate City Blvd). Tasks include cutting the wire netting, wrapping the ends together, shaping the ball into a sphere, testing the strings of lights, & wrapping the lights around the balls.
We will have snacks & beverages as a small token of our appreciation, and to make your time more comfortable. *Note: there is no heat / air conditioning in that side of the Visitors Center building so dress appropriately for the weather – whatever it might be on that day! Wear comfortable shoes for walking & standing on a concrete floor, and bring a pair of work gloves if you work with those on.
