Position Summary:
Read with Kindergarten through 3rd grade students with a focus on reading improvement:
Virtual learning (via Zoom) or In-Person (Afterschool hours) 3:30 p.m. - 4:30 p:m. (Partner Agency location)
In-Person: Winston-Salem Forsyth County Schools: Caleb's Creek (Kernersville); Rural Hall and Union Cross (Kernersville)
Once a week for 45 minutes to one (1) hour, but more often if you desire.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have access to a computer and internet
- If using a computer and internet, knowledge of Zoom a plus but training will be provided
- Individuals with English and/or proficient Spanish speaking skills are NEEDED!

Physical Requirements:
Virtual Reading Buddies - Requires sitting at the computer for 30 minutes to an hour.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Provide reading assistance to striving readers to help them improve their reading skills to ensure they are performing on or above grade level by the end of the school year.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
None
PROBLEM SOLVING
Must have the ability to discern when an issue requires contacting the RSVP Director. Must maintain appropriate boundaries with program participants.
