SPARK is serving Annie's Hope Center for Growing and Healing by planting 40 elderberry bushes along the center's property. Annie's Hope Center for Growing and Healing seeks to provide safe housing and resources for women survivors of domestic violence. The center is currently in final stages of building from the ground up! The women who will find refuge at Annie's Hope Center will tend to the bushes and harvest the berries in order to sell at local farmers markets, etc.
This project is outdoors and wonderful for individuals, groups and/or families wanting to serve and be safe. If you cannot stay for 3 hours, please plan to stay for at least 2 hours.
There is not an age limit, but this does require digging and planting. If smaller children plan to serve, please ensure they will be accompanied by an adult.
Please RSVP so that SPARK can communicate about supplies (shovels, work gloves, garden tools) and provide if needed.
