The Office of Civic and Community Engagement at Wake Forest University, in partnership with HandsOn has created a program, High Skilled Volunteer Network, which provides volunteer opportunities to professionals that are looking to assist and volunteer with nonprofits.
Professional volunteering is using specific personal or professional skills and talents of individuals to strengthen community organizations by working with them to build and sustain the capacity to achieve their mission. Professional volunteering can look like website development, brand messaging, business plan review, grant writing, skilled labor opportunities, etc.
