Crosby Scholars and SPARK will team up again on Saturday, November 11th (Veterans Day) to offer two hours of service in a creative way via Zoom. Students will hear from retired Command Sergeant Major Alex Nelson, as well as write letters to Veterans at a local Veterans Home, along with letters to active duty soldiers serving locally and abroad. Students will follow prompts for writing their letters. They will have the space to express gratitude and encouragement from their heart. Students will create art that will be included on a mobile mural that will stand at different locations in the Piedmont Triad serving Veterans.
Supplies needed:
4 sheets of paper: 3 to write letters and 1 to draw on
writing utensil
colored pencils and/or markers
