Dear Guilford friends,
On Friday, June 7th, as part of the Guilford Dialogues Conference,
attendees will participate in a Reentry Simulation. A Reentry Simulation
simulates the struggles and challenges faced by individuals who are
transitioning from incarceration back into society. The goal of this
simulation is for participants to gain an understanding of the significant
obstacles faced by people attempting to navigate the system upon their
release from incarceration and returning home to their communities. You can

understanding of the activity.
In order to host a successful simulation, we need volunteers to staff the
various stations which attendees will visit. Would you be willing to
volunteer? It should be fun and eye-opening.
The simulation will take place from 12:30pm-2:30pm on Friday (June 7th). We ask
that volunteers arrive by 11:45am. You are also welcome to join
attendees for lunch at 11:15. In addition, there is a video training
session in advance of the event; the session is scheduled for an hour but
I’m told it takes less time.
