What is AmeriCorps? AmeriCorps is kind of like the Peace Corps, but only in America. AmeriCorps supports Americans who want to help their communities meet the needs of their citizens.
The 2024-2025 AmeriCorps Partnership to End Homelessness Service Team focuses its efforts on addressing housing and food insecurity. Part time roles are for 900 total hours and receive $1000/mo. living allowance
These are the roles on this year’s team that we are still seeking to fill:
Job Readiness Success Coach
Provide case management services to individuals enrolled in WRLP training
programs. Assist low-income families
and individuals through barriers, gather information and make referrals to
community agencies in an effort to help them reach self-sufficiency and other
goals.
Neighborhood Reinvestment Area Outreach Coordinator
Assist neighborhood residents by raising awareness of City and partner organization
programs and opportunities including home repair in the City of Greensboro's 5
Neighborhood Reinvestment areas.
Homelessness to Housing Outreach Coordinator
Provide excellent customer service to Greensboro residents who call requesting
housing assistance by connecting callers with assistance that can meet each of
their needs and regularly following up to ensure nothing gets missed.
Servant House Case Manager
Provide support and services to residents living at Servant House, a 21-bed
transitional housing facility for homeless, disabled, male Veterans
Housing Resources Navigator
The Housing Resources Navigator will work with individuals experiencing
homelessness to achieve housing stability through assessment, facilitation of
housing stability plans, referral, and case management services.
