How to Get Started for New Volunteers
- Fill out our Volunteer Interest Form.
- Schedule your first shift here in Hands On (our volunteer scheduling platform). Please choose from one of the designated training times below. During this first shift, we’ll give you a short orientation and your volunteer welcome packet. This will help you get to know our space, ask questions, and feel prepared for future shifts.
If you're not available during these hours, no worries—we’ll gladly work out another option. Just email Petra at salazar.artshac@gmail.com to schedule your training shift before.

On retail days, volunteers play a vital role in supporting our mission as a Creative Reuse Center—making art more accessible and diverting materials from the waste stream! At the shop, you will be sorting and pricing donations, assisting with shop upkeep, and preparing for classes. ♻️
