Our Kitchen Volunteers focus on the kitchen! They are involved in the following tasks:
- Check refrigerators for food that needs to be re-packaged/discarded/labeled
- Individually package bulk snacks/cookies/chips to put on island
- Check inventories of staple items and let staff know if anything is running low (milk, eggs, breads, butter, cream cheese, coffee supplies)
- Check paper good and plastic ware inventories. Restock as needed and inform staff if we are getting low
- Wipe down and sanitize countertops, cabinets, and tables
We ask Kitchen Volunteers to commit to a regular shift once a week or once every other week for at least 2 months. Flexible 2-3 hour shifts.
